Truckhaven Hills is not a trail -- it's giant playground covering thousands of acres. Almost all of it is extreme or difficult, with steep hills to climb and big drop-offs to fall down. There are also trenches of different sizes that are cut into the hills, and many of them are just wide enough for your vehicle.
This place will test every aspect of your vehicle. Front and rear lockers are necessary. Winches are not necessary as there isn't really anything to winch off other than another vehicle.
It is highly recommended that you have a GPS unit with you, as you can easily lose your direction. If you do get lost, just head east in any of the main washes to return to Highway 86.
There is no particular trail in Truckhaven Hills. Just pick a path and drive.
From El Centro, go north on Highway 86. As you enter Salton City, look for North Marina Drive which is located about 2 miles north of S22. Turn left on North Marina Drive and drive approximately 1 mile. The asphalt road ends at Truckhaven Hills.
Meet at the entrance to Truckhaven Hills.
