You can't beat the view from the end of this trail, and it's the best place to get a picture of you and your vehicle hanging over a cliff. The trail has gotten difficult over the years, so now it has big challenges to match the big scenery.

It starts near the start of the Cottonwood Canyon trail on the Rose Garden Hill trail, at a sign pointing the way to Top of the World. The sign is a little bit into the Cottonwood Canyon trail, so you need to look in a little from Rose Garden Hill to see it.

The trail gets bumpy almost right away as you climb in elevation. Though the trail is relatively straight as it heads south, there are curves here and there. The first obstacle has you choose your way up a hill.

When you get to a fork in the road near the top, you can go either direction. If you continue straight/right then you'll have an easier trip to the top. The way to the left is more challenging. This is the end of the loop at the end, so you can see both sides if you want. The eastern side is more difficult.

Assuming you go straight to the end, there is a series of ledges before you get there that are fun and will test your skills. Then you realize that the trail is ending at a large area with plenty of parking at a slant.

When you get to the end you should get out and walk. You can drive your vehicle out to the edge, then take pictures of it from another point on the edge. It's a spectacular image, with the huge valley about 1,300 feet below called "The Narrows."

If you look to the right you can see Titan Tower and Fisher Towers. Just below you is a series of rock formations that looks like a hand. The Onion Creek trail is also in this area.

If you go exploring a bit to the left of this overlook you can peer down a huge crack in the rock, all the way to the bottom.

Continue around the loop and you'll find the most difficult portion of the trail. There is a series of ledges and hills that you must work your way down, and there are no easy options. If you're looking for the biggest challenge, take this path on the way up as well as on the way down. Once you've finished the loop, continue out the way you came in.
